Mya Petchark

Before Christ, my life was mostly good, I lived a “good” life, was following my moral code, living in my agnostic, worldly way. But, there was something missing, and I just did not know it yet. I had feelings of discontentment and dissatisfaction with my life. I was struggling with feelings of guilt, shame, and anxiety. I was in an unhealthy relationship that was causing me a lot of turmoil. I made some bad decisions and stayed longer than I should have. I was in the pit and it was getting deeper.  I ended up hitting a low point and prayed for help. God answered by sending someone I care deeply for to express unconditional love for me. This person sent me a meaningful online sermon, and the message gave me feelings of peace and love that stemmed from God Himself. For me, it was love that made me claim my faith. My life has changed in many ways, both visible by others and invisible changes within me. I left my toxic relationship, choosing the unconditional love of Christ instead. I feel content and free having given my worries to God and trusting in His plan. I am living my life knowing I will never be sinless, but knowing I have that flowing river of the Holy Spirit within me, guiding me lovingly, so that I can guide others. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 — “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.”
