Mason Smith

Before I met Christ I feel very fortunate to have grown up in a Christian home. I saw God’s love at an early age through my parents, at home, and church.  I was struggling at school with a lot of school work.  At this time my mom said, “You need Jesus!” So the two of us sat together, prayed to Jesus, and I asked him to be Lord of my life.  This took place when I was seven years old. A simple prayer to come into my heart and save me. My favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” I chose this verse because it is my daily reminder to trust God with everything!! My school work, my school situations, and my friends. God provides understanding and clarity.  He shows me so much love.  He truly is my strength! After accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior, I pray to Him, and He is my comfort.  I learned that if I am not following Christ, everything becomes more difficult for me.  My attitude in handling situations is easier knowing Christ knows all and is in charge!
