Growing up, I always believed in God, but I didn’t take the time to form a relationship with Him. I have always been a perfectionist, a little bit of a control freak, and have struggled with anxiety and the fear of failing. After having kids, my anxiety and stress increased exponentially. I started to feel lost in motherhood and like I was drowning in all of society's expectations. It was when my husband mentioned that he wanted us to start going to church that everything changed. We started going to church every Sunday and learning God’s Word. It felt like I finally found what I was missing. That's when I fully opened my heart to Jesus and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. Since then, it has felt like I can finally take a deep breath again, knowing that I can put all of my trust in Him, because He has a plan for me and is in control. Proverbs 3:5-6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
